Petra has always believed that design can be a force for good — not only in shaping beautiful objects, but in shaping how we live and care for one another.

An empath at heart, she is deeply moved by the world around her — its beauty, but also its injustices. Her work may sit within luxury, but that doesn’t lessen her love for it; it does, however, create a tension.

She is constantly reminded of the bigger picture — that while she has the privilege to create beauty, countless innocent people in places like Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, Myanmar, Congo, Sudan and Ukraine endure unimaginable suffering, violence, displacement and injustice.
