BEHIND THE DESIGN
PP x Rosie Bossom: The Art of Leaf
Design has always been a language of memory, translating cultural history and personal narrative into tangible spaces. In our latest creative venture, we collaborated with renowned interior designer Rosie Bossom to introduce The Art of Leaf, a craft-led tile collection that bridges time-honoured heritage with contemporary spatial design. First realised on the counter and splashbacks of Notting Hill’s newly opened deli, Little Julie’s, the collection marks a beautiful marriage of Rosie’s signature layered aesthetic and our own passion for storytelling through pattern.
The foundation of the collection is drawn from an archive close to our heart: the London needlepoint shop of Petra’s mother, Tapisserie. Inspired by the historic Mogul Khan Leaves motif, the design process became one of mindful deconstruction. We distilled the original botanical rhythm down to its absolute essentials, reworking its scale to transform an intimate textile pattern into an impactful, architectural statement.
To bring this vision into a physical reality, each classic metro tile is hand-decorated and embossed to create a subtle, three-dimensional surface. This meticulous relief work gives the pattern a tactile depth, creating a surface that actively responds to shifts in natural light, movement, and daily use.
The resulting collection is available in six autumnal colourways designed to harmonise with diverse interior visions. Because of its thoughtfully engineered scale, The Art of the Leaf offers immense versatility, allowing it to be laid as a continuous, fluidly flowing pattern or broken down into more fragmented, modern configurations.
At Little Julie's, the collection serves as the grounding anchor of the interior, wrapping the space in a feeling of warmth and continuity. It perfectly captures the shared intention behind our collaboration with Rosie: to craft an environment that feels comfortingly familiar yet entirely reimagined, celebrating the beauty of heritage in a contemporary, everyday setting.
