Beirut and Pomegranate Tiles
Paying homage to my heritage and inspired by the patterns I recorded in the Lebanese capital, Beirut's curved shapes and colours capture the country's vitality and energy, while the broad size of the tile designs reflects its people's boundless generosity of spirit. Designed to be mixed and matched with the corner tiles, this collection comes in four colour ways: berry, mint, peach and blue.
Symbolic of fertility, abundance and good-luck, pomegranates were always part of my life growing up, both as food and decoration. An entire wall of both Pomegranates and Beirut tiles would reflect the Lebanese love of bold repeat patterns and bring a bit of the orient to your home. The Lebanese have an amazing sense of colour, often choosing unusual and surprising combinations, which I hope to have done justice to through my collections.
