It was an honour and a privilege to collaborate with Christie’s for the second time, styling five different vignettes in the Duke Street Gallery using a curated selection of items from their online dining sale along with my own wares.
There were so many unique pieces to play around with, I had such fun mixing prints, patterns and layering colour. I wanted to demonstrate the versatility of the objects in the sale as they are not strictly for the table, they can be used throughout the home; a garden breakfast, a cosy living room complete with a needlepoint corner and bar and a dining room.
My goal was to create luxurious settings (but not daunting) with an acute attention to detail and sense of humour.
During the LATES evening Monday 13th January 2020, we had a stall selling our wares and there was an informal conversation between myself and Independent Curator, Margherita Manca with Andy Waters who kindly introduced us.
Thank you to all those who came, I really appreciate your support and thank you again to Christie’s for having me.
